CSM Anthony J. Wilson

Command Sergeant Major Anthony J. Wilson is from Winston-Salem, North Carolina He enlisted in the United States Army in August 1991 as an 11C Indirect Fire Infantryman and completed Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Benning, Georgia.  In 1995 CSM Wilson would return to AIT at Fort Jackson, South Carolina and reclassified to the MOS of 75D Personnel Records Specialist which is now recognized as a 42A.CSM Wilson’s military education includes Graduate of the Sergeant Majors Academy Class 63 (Commandants List), Command Sergeant Major Course (BDE), Sergeant Major Force Management Course, Advanced and Basic Military Transition Team Training, First Sergeants Course, Supervisor Development Course, Senior Leaders Course, Advanced Leaders Course (Commandants List), Basic Airborne Course, Commanders Safety Course, Safety Officer/NCO Course, Action Officer Development Course, Manager Development Course, Unit Prevention Leaders Course, and the Warriors Leaders Course.  CSM Wilson’s holds an Undergraduate Degree in Homeland Security and Public Service from Excelsior College.

CSM Wilson has served in a myriad of positions both as an Infantryman and as a Personnel Specialist to include; Mortar Gunner, Squad Leader, Officer and Enlisted Records Clerk, NCOIC, Evaluations, Personnel Service NCO, Senior Personnel Service NCO, NCOIC, USARUER Casualty, First Sergeant, Personnel and Maintenance Advisor to the Iraqi Federal Police, Baghdad, Iraq and G1 CSM at NTC and Fort Irwin, CA. He has participated in four combat deployments to include one tour to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and three tours to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

His awards and decorations includes two (2) Bronze Stars, five (5) Meritorious Service Medal, six (6) Army Commendation Medal, seven (7) Army Achievement Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Army Superior Unit Award, eight (8) Good Conduct Medal,  two (2) National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal w/Campaign Star, Iraqi Campaign Medal w/Campaign Star, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (Numeral 5), Army Service Ribbon, Oversea Service Ribbon (Numeral 6), Combat Action Badge, Expert Infantryman Badge and a Parachutist Badge.
