TOTAL ARMY SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM:

Sponsorship Program

“Serving People Is Our Business”

Congratulations on your assignment to Fort Jackson!

Fort Jackson is located in the state capital of South Carolina.  Columbia is a metropolitan region with a population of over 400,000 and offers a diversity of experiences and attractions.  Columbia displays patriotism proudly and is glad to be the home of Fort Jackson, the largest and most active Initial Entry Training Center in the United States Army. The Total Army Sponsorship Program is essential to Soldiers and their family members, and answers various inquiries throughout the relocation process.  If you haven’t already done so, complete the Sponsorship Program Counseling and Information Sheet, DA Form 5434 via Army Career Tracker (ACT) module and send it to the Fort Jackson Sponsorship Program Manager.  If you are a part of the Army Career Tracker (ACT) Total Army Sponsorship Program (TASP), complete the DA Form 5434 in the ACT TASP at https://actnow.army.mil and complete sections: 1, 2, 4, and 5. Your request will be forwarded to your gaining unit/agency and the designated sponsor will contact you by email or via the ACT system with information about your new unit/agency.

Army Youth Sponsorship Program

The Youth Sponsorship Club can help your teen learn about their new community and make new friends. Getting involved quickly helps children and teens fit in and feel less stress associated with their PCS move. All it takes to join the club is a visit to the school age or youth center or contact the School Liaison Officer. Please send an email to the School Liaison Officer (SLO) to request a sponsor. Also, you can download the Youth Sponsor Request Form, complete and include any additional information that might be helpful to the sponsorship staff in the assignment process as they attempt to pair you with a sponsor whom you will be most compatible with.

Outbound Soldiers

One of the most important pre-move actions you can take is to request a sponsor. Please complete the Sponsorship Program Counseling and Information Sheet, DA Form 5434 and visit your unit’s sponsorship coordinator.  If you are a part of the Army Career Tracker (ACT) Total Army Sponsorship Program (TASP), complete the DA Form 5434 in the ACT TASP at https://actnow.army.mil. Your request will be forwarded to your gaining unit/agency and the designated sponsor will contact you by email or via the ACT system with information about your new unit/agency.
