The Fort Jackson Hall of Fame was established to recognize and honor persons who have made an indelible mark on the Fort Jackson community. Individuals will be chosen solely on the merit of their contribution(s) to Fort Jackson. The nominee’s significant contribution must have occurred at least five (5) years prior to the date of nomination submission. The nominees’ significant contribution(s), nominees’ character, and nominees’ background will be closely scrutinized by a nomination board composed of representatives from across Fort Jackson. Once selected, nominees will be honored in a Fort Jackson Hall of Fame induction ceremony, and memorialized in a permanent display on Fort Jackson. All active duty and retired commissioned officers, warrant officers, noncommissioned officers, Soldiers, Department of the Army Civilians, and community leaders are eligible for nomination into the Fort Jackson Hall of Fame. Neither rank nor position is necessarily indicative of a significant contribution. Additionally, rank, position, gender, ethnicity nor religion will be discriminators in the nomination, board, or selection proceedings. Anyone with knowledge of a potential Fort Jackson Hall of Fame nominee can submit a nomination; however, individuals shall not nominate themselves.
Nomination submission deadline is March 10, 2017. Nomination packets will be submitted to CPT Ryan Knott
